Poems 23/30 Haiku on Wheels

Haiku on Wheels

I
Arizona us
Sweet watermelon sunsets
Behind the strip malls

II
Three on the terrace
John between our tie-dyed shirts
You delete your socks

III
Segovia us
Indian motel clerk says
Lots of bikers here

IV
Harley in the hills
Photos in black leather vests
Motel has a pool

V
In New Mexico
We fight over gas prices
The moon doesn’t care

VI
In Van Horn Texas
The Sweet Shoppe is deserted
There is just one bar

VII
Last stop New Jersey
Washington Heights say good bye
Take the A train home
